Important information:
By their very design, L60 cylinder heads are susceptible to a crack forming on the surface between the two valves. These cracks are generally only on the surface and do not necessarily indicate a damaged cylinder head. Our pressure testing ascertains that the cylinder head can withstand working conditions and is watertight in its current state. However, if the working conditions are not met for a prolonged period, any cylinder head will eventually break and leak, regardless of whether there was initial surface cracking. If a leaking cylinder head is replaced without addressing the underlying issues, the new cylinder head will also break. The main issues that can cause a cylinder head to break and leak are insufficient cooling water or a cooling water temperature that is too high. These issues can be mainly caused by problems with the thermostat or compressor, or by blockages in the venting system or cooling radiator.
